In Greek Mythology Poseidon was the God of the Sea, Horses, and Earthquakes. As one of the Olympians he extremely popular and great sacrifices were made to him, especially by sailors wishing for a smooth journey. A very temperamental god, his outbursts were violent causing storms and earthquakes, but a moody god is perfect for an ever changing sea.

This necklace captures the God of the Sea. The pendant is a Pewter Horse. The necklace is made from Turquoise, Sodalite, Mother of Pearl, Angelite, Apatite, Aquamarine, Peruvian Opal, Kyanite, Quartz Crystal, Aqua Terra Jasper, Lava Stone, Lapis, White Moonstone, Iolite, Nephrite Jade, Labradorite, Vesuvianite, Amazonite, Chalcedony, Fluorite, Citrine, and Freshwater Pearls. The necklace is finished with a Pewter Toggle Clasp and measures 20.5 inches (52cm) and is a Matinee length piece.

I like the colours in the stringing on this very much. The horse though seems out of place, and the colour out of sync with the rest of the peice. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your opinion. I chose the horse and the colors to represent the myth so that could explain why it seems a bit off...mixing horses with the sea can be odd.
